Major Traffic Impacts Anticipated for Next Three Months
- Northbound FM 157/Collins Street traffic will be moved onto the existing southbound bridge. The reconfiguration will accommodate two through lanes in each direction and a left turn lane onto eastbound Copeland Road.
- Temporary closure of I-30 eastbound entrance at Nolan Ryan Expressway. Alternate entrance ramp available at Convention Center Dr. Anticipate restoration of ramp access in spring 2009.
- Permanent closure of I-30 eastbound exit for Ballpark Way. Alternate exit ramp available at Nolan Ryan Expressway.
Week of July 14, 2008
- Prepare Center Street bridge deck.
- Place permanent concrete pavement on eastbound mainlanes near Ballpark Way overpass.
- Place permanent concrete pavement on eastbound frontage road between Cooper Street and Center Street.
- Switch FM 157/Collins Street traffic to west bridge and begin preparation for demolition of east bridge.
- Continue pavement reconstruction of Wet-N-Wild Way western section.
- Place asphalt pavement on westbound frontage road approaching FM 157/Collins Street.
- Begin preparation for temporary I-30 eastbound exit to Nolan Ryan Expressway.
- Continue substructure work for Baird Farm Road bridge and median ramp.
- Continue installing drainage system.
- Continue retaining wall and temporary shoring work throughout project site.
Week of July 7, 2008
- Prepare Center Street bridge deck.
- Place permanent concrete pavement on eastbound mainlanes near Ballpark Way overpass.

- Continue placing Center Street bridge decking.
- Portion of Wet-N-Wild Way closed to traffic from FM 157/Collins Street for pavement reconstruction.
- Portion of Ryan Plaza closed to traffic for pavement reconstruction.
- Place asphalt pavement on westbound frontage road approaching FM 157/Collins Street.
- Place permanent concrete pavement on eastbound frontage road from Cooper Street towards Center Street extension.
- Continue substructure work for Baird Farm Road bridge and median ramp.
- Continue installing drainage system.
- Continue retaining wall and temporary shoring work throughout project site.
Week of June 23, 2008
- Set partial fourth and final fiifth spans of bridge beams for the Center Street extention and continue placing decking.
- Continue embankment for westbound frontage road leading to FM 157/Collins Street.
- Continue substructure work for Baird Farm Road bridge and median ramp.
- Continue installing drainage system.
- Continue retaining wall and temporary shoring work throughout project site.
Week of June 16, 2008
- Set third and partial fourth spans of bridge beams for the Center Street extention and continue placing decking.
- Continue Center Street bridge structure work.
- Continue embankment for westbound frontage road leading to FM 157/Collins Street.
- Continue substructure work for Baird Farm Road bridge and median ramp.
- Continue installing drainage system. I-30 esatbound entrance ramp from Cooper Street closed and re-opened..
- Continue retaining wall and temporary shoring work throughout project site.
- Prepare esatbound frontage road from Cooper Street towards Center Street and eastbound mainlanes near Ballpark Way overpass for permanent contrete pavement

- Continue Center Street bridge structure work.
- Restore Industrial Court.
- Prepare embankment for westbound frontage road leading to FM 157/Collins Street.
- Continue substructure work for Baird Farm Road bridge and median ramp.
- Continue installing drainage system. Night activity crossing FM 157/Collins Street.

- Complete restoration of traffic island at Ballpark Way/Convention Center Dr intersection. Expect temporary work zone removed and traffic restored around March 22.
- Continue restoration of I-30 eastbound entrance ramp at Copeland Rd/Convention Center Dr intersection.
