I-30 Mobility Improvement Project
The I-30 Mobility Improvement Project seeks to reduce congestion and improve regional mobility by expanding capacity along I-30. Construction between Cooper Street and Ballpark Way is scheduled to be completed in fall 2010.

A section of westbound frontage road near the intersection with Ballpark Way is reduced to one lane to help traffic merge from a new exit ramp for Baird Farm Road and FM 157/Collins Street. July 7, 6 a.m. through winter 2010 (weather permitting): The westbound frontage road between Wet-N-Wild Way and FM 157/Collins Street will be removed from service. Westbound traffic will be directed north and west onto Wet-N-Wild Way to access FM 157/Collins Street. Traffic destined for southbound FM 157/Collins Street will be directed through the intersection and into the southbound detour. |

February 2009 through summer 2010: The I-30 westbound entrance from Ballpark Way is permanently closed. A new entrance ramp will be constructed between Baird Farm Road and FM 157/Collins Street with an expected opening in summer 2010. Alternate entrance ramps are available from SH 360/Six Flags Drive, westbound frontage road west of Center Street via the FM 157/Collins Street southbound detour,and Cooper Street. |

February 28 through winter 2010: Southbound FM 157/Collins Street traffic between Lamar Boulevard and I-30 will be detoured over the Center Street bridge as construction crews rebuild FM 157/Collins Street through this area. Northbound traffic will remain on FM 157/Collins Street. Detour Map July 6, 9 p.m. to July 7, 6 a.m. (weather permitting): FM 157/Collins Street will be all closed to traffic between Lamar Boulevard and the westbound frontage road. Southbound FM 157/Collins Street traffic will be detoured along Lamar Boulevard to Lincoln Drive. Northbound FM 157/Collins Street traffic will be detoured along Copeland Road to Ballpark Way. July 7, 6 a.m. (weather permitting): FM 157/Collins Street between Lamar Boulevard and Ryan Plaza Drive/Wet-N-Wild Way will be re-opened to north and southbound traffic. July 7, 6 a.m. (weather permitting): Lincoln Drive will revert back to two-way operation south of Lamar Boulevard. Traffic barriers will be placed south of the intersection of the Texas Health Resources driveway and Enterprise Life Parkway to prohibit traffic beyond this intersection. |

July 7, 6 a.m. through winter 2010 (weather permitting): Wet-N-Wild Way east of FM 157/Collins Street south to the westbound frontage road will operate temporarily one-way westbound during the construction of the FM 157/Collins Street bridge over I-30. |
