I-30 Mobility Improvement Project
The I-30 Mobility Improvement Project seeks to reduce congestion and improve regional mobility by expanding capacity along I-30. Construction between Cooper Street and Ballpark Way is scheduled to be completed in fall 2010.

Overnight, September 7-8, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (weather permitting): Various lanes of westbound I-30 will be closed between SH 161 and Ballpark Way as crews place permanent lane markings. |

Daily, July 23 through September 3, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather permitting): Various lanes of the eastbound frontage road between Cooper Street and Legends Way will be closed as crews construct columns for overhead sign structures and complete other work. |

Through August 31 (weather permitting): The westbound frontage road approaching and through Baird Farm Road is reduced to two lanes as crews complete permanent concrete pavement. |

September 1 through September 17 (weather permitting): The dedicated right turn lane on Lamar Boulevard approaching Cooper Street will be closed to the intersection. This closure is required as crews complete work on the retaining wall facing I-30 and repairing the sidewalk along Lamar Boulevard. NOTE: Between August 11 and 20 when Lamar Boulevard is reduced to one lane after Cooper Street, the lane configuration approaching the Cooper Street intersection will change. During that time, eastbound approaching traffic will have one through lane and a dedicated right turn lane at the Cooper Street intersection. September 1 through September 9 (weather permitting): Eastbound Lamar Boulevard departing Cooper Street will be reduced to one lane approximately 600 feet away from the intersection. This closure is required as crews complete work on the retaining wall facing I-30 and repairing the sidewalk along Lamar Boulevard. |
